UNDERSTANDING ENERGY

THE INTUITION

As we each progress through life learning how to understand and respond to all that surrounds us a point is finally reached where we begin to realise that there is a greater cause or reason to existence. This awareness is gradual but once reached it begins to take an increasingly dominant position in our outlook and response to daily life.

It marks the change from individualisation where the outlook is based upon personal needs and self gain to one where the reality of the unity of all life becomes increasingly apparent.

It is here in this outlook that the future of all humanity resides.

All our major religions clearly express the awareness of the unifying characteristic of life based upon the energy we call Love.

This is the energy being developed by all form life on our planet. The future for the human kingdom requires the intelligent ability to understand and work with this energy — this activity we term wisdom.

Each form that surrounds us is energy at some point of development and although perhaps difficult to initially comprehend, that energy being expressed is Love.

None of us are exempt from the energies of life and it is not greatly difficult to see the importance of intelligent co-operation. This personal responsibility is increased where the energies of Love and Unity become the centre of our attention.

To help develop the understandings of the greater cause of life expression each of us has an ability we call intuition. The area of the brain that indicates the activity of the intuition is found in the cells that surround the pineal gland. For many people these cells are still dormant and before the facility of intuitive perception can be utilised they must be brought into a state of activity.

Initially this is not an easy process and does require a good deal of effort. To rouse into activity a part of the brain which has been unused is not a situation that is new to most of us. All that can be said as encouragement is that steady and regular effort is never wasted and what was once difficult can be achieved with ease.

A developed intuition is necessary for anyone who seeks a greater understanding of the cause of our existence. For thousands of years there have been men and women before us who have successfully improved their intuitive ability leaving as one of their gifts to humanity the methods of their approach.

By following we are beginning on a path of great importance for each of us and one which the future of the human kingdom is dependant upon.

What is intuition?

Perhaps by describing what it is not will help in understanding what it is. The recognition of similarities and the use of a clear analytical mind, one which has seen repeated many times the problems and characteristics of others to the point where a pattern can be responded to is not to be confused with intuition. Nor is the intuition related to either higher or lower physic response.

The Voice of Silence is not intuition. Intelligent psychology and a welling forth of love to people and therefore an understanding of them is also not the intuition.

Intuition is the ability and prerogative of the soul;it occurs when the soul focuses towards the level of consciousness that we call Spirit and at the same time towards that consciousness we call Human.

This dual activity of the soul is what has been termed "intuition" and can only occur, even if briefly, when there is a link between the soul and its expression in time and space, man or woman.

When it is experienced successfully there is an absolute awareness of the universality of life. There is no sense of separateness from what is seen and no difficulty or delay in conscious understanding. Only that which the individual consciousness can respond to can be seen and at first this remains limited.

At its highest point intuition becomes Universal Love. This has no relation to the sentimental or affectionate reaction we call love. It is not able to be described in words but can be comprehended in consciousness.

It is essentially an identification with all beings and makes it impossible to regard another with criticism and replacing this with true compassion. That Divine seed of light can be seen brighter in some than others but being expressed in all life forms.

There are men and women who have experienced either one or both of these states of intuition and forever their lives are changed. Slowly at first but with increasing strength every effort is made to enhance this ability and share the energy and understanding to those about them who are ready to respond.

Without these developments in awareness we are compelled to remain regarding the form as being of greater importance than the consciousness that is contained within the form.

This we already successfully do, but it is the destiny of every man and woman to develop the intuition and respond to the greater state of consciousness and cause of form expression which we call soul. Perhaps now or in some distant future this will happen but all of us will eventually achieve with great strength such ability.

There are many methods of developing the intuition but one which is particularly suitable for the Western mind is in the use of symbols. These are geometric forms, termed by some 'sacred geometry" whose outer visible forms reflect an inner spiritual reality.

Initially the designs are not complex although the understandings they represent may take time to comprehend. It should always be remembered however that whatever awareness are achieved from the study of symbols they simply point the way to greater knowledge.

Love and Wisdom which are represented by these forms is infinite.

The abilities developed by this form of study produces three effects.

  1. It develops the ability to understand the reality represented by the symbol.
  2. The relationship between the soul and its expression, the human, is strengthened. This integration can be seen in the flow of energy via the "silver cord" of mind. Soul, mind, brain activity causes an in flowing of the consciousness of intuition from the soul enabling a rapid growth in illumination and a greatly improved ability to comprehend truth.
  3. This activity can at first be one of strain as the cells in the brain which are needed for such response may still be inactive. However once this is overcome the centre at the top of the head which responds to the mind begins to vibrate gently.

The study of symbols needs to be approached in three different ways.

  1. The form should be carefully regarded. Everything will be representative of a greater understanding and so all the lines and the arrangement of sectional forms eg. triangles, cubes, squares, stars etc. within the overall form which produces their mutual inter-relationship have to be considered. The number of forms or lines within a form are also important, as is colour. The external view of the form requires careful consideration, each detail having significance. The result of these efforts will be comfortable awareness of all aspects of the symbol form.

  2. When this is achieved the next stage of development is in the way this symbol effects us. Each person is unique in their growth and therefore the response to the symbol will be reflected in their consciousness. All of us have an astral or emotional body of energy and it is here that we can begin to look for a reaction. The quality of this reaction can be seen in what feelings are aroused by the symbol.

When a symbol that is familiar can be recalled with little effort the endeavour needs to be to sense its quality and contact its vibration. This can be seen as aspirations, dreams, illusions and emotional effects which may vary from day to day. They are an astral response and not to be confused with intuition.

When they are regarded clearly they indicate the sensitive response we each have to the impact of the quality of the energy represented by the symbol. The ability to recognise the subtle reaction of our sensitive feeling nature to a symbol is important.

  3. The final point of development is in mental awareness. This takes us into the area of meaning and one where it is necessary to work with ideas and concepts. This activity necessitates the use of the mind to understand, grasp and interpret by developing the mental sensitivity able to respond to those vibrations we term Universal Mind. This is achieved by a focused attentive mind as in meditation. By sitting quietly and focusing on the symbol without unnecessary thoughts interrupting creates the needed condition that will lead you into the world of concepts.

This is not meditation which attempts to reach the soul but instead polarises the consciousness in the mental body. It is here that much old knowledge and information which are our mental and racial heritage concerning symbols exists.

These ancient mental forms can be employed to arrive at the meaning and significance of the symbol being focused upon. This field of ideas and concepts takes time to reach and initially the efforts can be distasteful to say the least. However success brings freedom and to work and live in the world of ideas becomes the objective and main effort.

Where all these efforts are undertaken not for personal gain but with the aspiration to be of service and usefulness success will be rapid.

For some people the emotional recognition of a symbol will be easy and others will find the mental response will hold no difficulty. However all three approaches external regard, emotional and mental reaction are equally important and where one area is weak or undeveloped it should not be ignored. Over development in one at the expense of the others causes damage.

Spiritual energy permeates every aspect of each of us and requires balance in all bodies.

Without this balance the energy of Love and the Light of Wisdom cannot flow from the soul.

May strength and courage attend your efforts.
