previous Index next The symbol used from a very early part of our history and representative of the sign of Aquarius, is that of the water carrier. This period of growth which has essentially only just begun, brings to the Human Kingdom the influences of energy or force of Love which that symbol represents.
The passing of the Sun into the sign of Aquarius is an astronomical fact - which is easily verified - it is not an astrological prognostication, and represents for the developing human kingdom an evolutionary event of great possibility.
The coming of the Aquarian Age with its emphasis upon individual understanding, direct knowledge and unity, between all members of the Human Kingdom and between this kingdom and the Kingdom of Souls, represents the beginning of a new civilisation.
One in which the political, economic, religious, social and educational structures will be developed to ensure this opportunity, and making the Laws of Life or Love the basis of our society.
It will be a period in which the present domination of material thought and focus will loose its massive grip on human growth, leaving in its absence the opportunity to develop strongly all the practical abilities which develop the light we each express and the overall Light of the world.
The Kingdom of Souls is the fifth kingdom and one which we are all a part of, irrespective of colour, race, or belief. Each form or personality is a temporary expression in time and space of this kingdom, and where one is of short duration the other is eternal.
The Purpose being developed by each of us in the passage of life in form is towards the uniting of the temporary form consciously with the eternal soul.
The joining of the Kingdom of Souls with the Human Kingdom.
The conscious marriage of the soul and personality. This act of service by the personality is a natural event of evolutionary growth, not unique to our world, and where undertaken increases the light or radiated energy given off by the personality, race, or nation.
The awareness of the dual nature of man has been held and understood by many races and peoples of our past and present, but has generally been restricted to the events of birth or death, with prayers or rituals directed to assisting the soul to or from form expression.
Although necessarily simple due to the point of conscious development, they have nevertheless been correct and have maintained the understanding of duality.
Now with the unfolding intellect of the human spirit, a more clear understanding of the relationship between these two kingdoms needs to become the basis of our society and this knowledge applied to the disciplines which are the tools by which we live.
The human kingdom is not hindered by coercion or undue safeguards and is able to express its major divine characteristics - that of free will and the discriminating use of the mind.
The test for humanity is whether - given the mental development and knowledge - it will consecrate that knowledge and its scientific and mental attainment to group good or to selfish ends, to material issues or to spiritual incentives and impulses.
All nations have within them those who in their thousands, respond normally and easily to the concept of goodwill, to the desire for right relationship between all people, and the ideal of true international and world understanding.
In all nations are those to whom this position makes no appeal - remaining in darkness and blinded by the real issues. Their actions and ideals make possible the forces of materialism. They endeavour to hold back the development and evolution of human consciousness.
There are many men and women in the world today seeking in all areas to overcome the imprisonment of the human consciousness and the restriction of its free expression.
This seeking is essentially a response to the Aquarian energy - that of unity. A beginning of the conscious strengthening of the bond between soul and personality.
There exist no circumstances in which the spirit of man can be defeated.
These attempts at unity which are seen in all areas of our society and made by men and women of strong spirit and great love, are the indication and guarantee of the next Divine Approach. The expansion of human consciousness which will take place as a result of the coming Great Approach will enable humanity to grasp not only its relation to the spiritual life of our planet, but also give a glimpse of the relation of our planet to the circle of planetary lives, moving within the orbit of the Sun, and the still greater circle of spiritual influences which contact our system as it continues its passage in the universe.
In this coming period for the Human Kingdom a more clear knowledge of these energies or aspects of Love will result in Humanity working with intelligent effort to respond and by so doing increasing the Light of the world.
The relationship of the Whole to the part and the part to the Whole will then be fully expressed.
Although we are in this period surrounded by confusion, fear, and chaos, the future for the Human Kingdom is one of greatness.
Protect and nurture this greatness in each of us and about us and the Path of Return will be easily seen.
The separation and inability to comprehend wisely the inter-relationship between religion and science is one of the major restrictions that confront the Human Kingdom. The main difficulty of the presentation of divine truth as given by the churches of the West and the teachers of the East is that it has not kept pace with the unfolding intellect of the human spirit.
The present point we have reached is where theologies now taught by ecclesiastical organisations are of relatively little use.
This has resulted in a massive movement away from these organisations and teachers and an urgent seeking for a new and more real approach.
Within all religions is greatness, each containing a fundamental truth, placed there to guide humanity forward - therefore they should not be attacked.
Religion is that which causes the recognition by the part or personality of its relationship to the Whole plus a constant growing demand for increased awareness of that relation; it draws forth the recognition of the Whole that the demand has been made.
It is the invocative appeal of humanity and the evocative response of the greater Life to that cry. The aim of religion should be towards establishing a universal understanding of the nature of reality and to foster the growth of spiritual consciousness.
Science with its present material approach, no matter how highly developed the particular discipline, is restricted to the study of form, and therefore inevitably working separately from those areas of religion that seek a greater understanding of Reality, will be unable to comprehend the new energies that are encountered.
As the possibilities of science are far greater than the present level that has been reached the basic assumptions that have been built on need to be re-considered. Indiscriminate activity within science that does not take into account the relationship of the Whole to the part is an endangerment to Humanity.
Science is separative in its approach to the differing aspects of divine manifestation which we call the world of natural phenomena, but the true scientist being a coordinated personality and therefore working on mental levels, works very close to the soul .
When those who work in these disciplines begin to regard the subjective energies and the qualities which colour and condition the form and combine intelligently this knowledge with that which is already understood of the outer form the work of unification will go rapidly forward.
The entire story of evolution is the evolution of consciousness. The seeking through religion of a greater understanding of Reality and the application of that awareness through science indicates the dual nature of consciousness.
Consciousness express that which might be regarded as the middle point in manifestation. Within the personality or human there is a body consciousness, sensory apparatus registering reaction to the environment; there is consciousness of moods, of quality, of mental reactions to a world of ideas. There is a higher consciousness of plan and of purpose, there is a consciousness of life.
Man's self conscious soul is en-rapport with the soul of all things and is an integral part of the universal Soul. It is conscious of the purpose of Deity, and can intelligently cooperate with the will of God, and thus work with the plan of evolution.
Consciousness is the reaction of active intelligence to the pattern of life. The consciousness of the personality is not separate from that of the soul. Man is in fact a fragment of the Universal Mind or world soul. Therefore the future unity between personality and soul is only possible on the plane of mind.
When we recognise ourselves and each other as divine self-conscious units functioning primarily in the causal body - or soul body - but utilising the three lower vehicles only as means of contact with the three lower planes, we will have government, politics, economics and social order re-adjusted upon sound, sane and divine lines.
This is the correct development of religion and science.
The following symbol is used by those who clearly understand and apply the awareness of the duality of consciousness. The circle represents all life. The three circles represent Spirit - Consciousness - Form. The two half circles represent the duality of consciousness. This symbol contains ideas of which the description given is only a brief beginning. If meditation is used both on the symbol and the ideas presented understanding will be reached that will prove to be greatly helpful to our development.
As the Human Kingdom achieves increasingly polarisation on the plane of mind through the attractive power of the mental principal, the use of language for the conveying of thoughts will give way way to the use of symbols which will not have the restrictions of the written or spoken
These symbols are what could be termed higher symbols, conveying cosmic truths and instruction based on the Reality of life and the development of consciousness in all forms and on all planes.
They can not only be comprehended by those within the Human Kingdom who have begun to respond to the need and use of mind, but also by those evolutions evolving in a similar manner to ourselves.
They essentially represent the universal language which contain ideas of subjective and objective energies.
Offering the opportunity to comprehend Universal cause and its effect in form, they are the precursor to the development of telepathy which will be achieved in the Aquarian age.
As a universal language they are understood by all consciousness that intelligently respond to the laws of life.
For humanity they preserve truth intact, embodying cosmic fact and develop higher mental ability and abstract thought.
As consciousness develops the form in which Reality can be given becomes more and more simple, whilst the meaning becomes wide and inclusive and seemingly involves greater complexity.
There is much value in training the mental body to increasing awareness of Reality and to recognise with patience the physical brain limitations.
In the overcoming of these limitations and in order to grasp the cosmic plan, geometrical forms and symbols are used.
The forms so far given in these writings, the circle, triangle and six pointed star, are all examples of geometry indicating subjective expressions of a fixed consciousness focused in Reality.
They are essentially the blueprint or plan upon which all consciousness develops; from the planes of human expression to those of soul, from an atom to a solar system, all respond and evolve in harmony to the Laws represented by these and other geometrical forms and symbols.
As we advance in our understanding of these Laws, we will begin to see that all form life is energy in activity.
That Love is a symbolic expression of the truth as is the use of the word God.
All that can be seen in manifestation is fundamentally physical electricity, that electrical phenomena which produces the coordination of all form.
There is an aspect of electrical phenomena which produces cohesion, just as there is an aspect which produces light. There is the electrical energy of the form just as there is the electrical energy of the soul.
The electrical energy of the soul combined with a third energy increases the energy of the form body, this increase of energy produces the light given off by the body of form. This is the vitalising of the etheric body.
In the study of the effects of colour on people and animals and on the effects of light given off, we shall see each other and all forms of divine manifestation or natural phenomena as light units of varying degrees of brightness, by so doing breaking down all barriers of race distinction of colour.
Ideas and thoughts are expressions of energy resulting in words, actions, or constructed forms which make our daily life. The energy for the majority comes from the astral plane, but increasingly as we become more mentally polarised, the energy of the plane of mind comes into activity
When this occurs the use of symbols to translate Impression gained from the Universal Mind ensures initially useful comprehension of abstract ideas that can be grasped by all members of the human kingdom.
Where these symbols are used as the basis of an idea or are meditated upon, there will be found a personality or human actively working with the electrical energy of the soul and the electrical energy of the form.
This activity produces two very clear and distinct responses. An increases in the consciousness of the personality and an increase of the electrical energy or light given off by the body of form, the etheric body. These two results are not separate from each other.
If it is clearly understood that those symbols which pertain to that which could be termed cosmic truth or the reality of Universal Mind, resulting when used in specific developments of consciousness and light energy, it will be seen that each symbol acts as a particular channel for energy.
As with any formula that we use in our daily lives when we are working with the energy of form, in order to comprehend and work with the energy of soul and form combined, although initially simple, geometrical forms and symbols indicate the manner in which these combinations occur.
The next discovery for science is the integrating power of electricity as it produces the cohesion of all forms and sustains all form life during the cycle of manifested existence. This is simply the energy of the soul and the energy of the form.
Within the correct approach of religion to seek a greater understanding of the Whole, will be seen a similar development.
The principal of coordination being reached for will be attempts at balance between soul and personality, by seeking increased knowledge of Reality through meditation..
The bringing in of force and the offering of a channel are all mystical ways of expressing a natural phenomena; the joining of the electrical energy of the soul with the universal electrical energy known as modern electricity.
The word Love needs to be seen not as representing an abstract ideal and pertaining to those of the human kingdom who regard life from the point of view of religion, but as indicating a particular energy upon which all form life is dependant.
Love is the bread of life, is a statement of truth.
The electrical energy of the soul sustains the electrical body of form.
From an atom, to man, to a planet and beyond, all are expressions of divine manifestation.
All will be found to be form expressions of electrical energy vitalised by the electrical energy of Soul.
